Its good just that it detects movement even if the wind blows so I have to put it to see only more fast and obvious movements. All in all it is awesome!!!

Interesting App but it works well. Kinda fun for being in College and wondering what youre room does with your stuff when youre not around.
Its all in the title... a theres no faq on site. So unable to make it work!
I downloaded the app to find that it only works with the iSight camera on my mac and not the external USB camera I was hoping to use.
Works very well. Like it a lot. The other review here stating it wont work with an external web cam is wrong as I am using it with a MacPro and a rocketfish web cam right now. Thank to the Dev!
Everything seems to work on my iMac with integrated cam: motion detection, mail notification, sound, pictures in iPhoto… Thanks !
I love the app, the features are awesome if only the developers released an update to support more webcams such as microsoft
Nice little app. Works as advertised and was able to get it up and running within 30 secons. However it would be improved if we could have some control over the video quality. The current setting is too low for my needs as I am capturing a large room and the 320x240 video size doesnt get enough detail. Therefore can you please update the app and provide some video quality adjustment settings like you do for photo quality? Thanks!
In concept this is exactly what I want. I work in a shared office space. I’d like to snap a few pics if someone is snooping near my workplace (if something goes missing.) A side effect it this would capture anyone walking by, but I’m willing to put up with that. Changing the frequency of photo capture does not seem to work. It takes about 30 photos per second, as far as I can tell. Changing to "1 photo / 10 sec” doesn’t affect the rate of capture. I would like to use an option like "1 photo a second”. It will be choppy motion recording, but it won’t fill up my hard drive and it’ll get what I need in case I require the footage. But since the frequency options don’t have an effect, the product isn’t suitable for my purposes. PS: I think the slash is the wrong convention in the frequency options and it makes it a bit confusing. I think "1 photo every 1 sec” would be a better convention than “1 photo / 1 sec”.
I’ve been using the iSentry on a Macbook Air with a Logitech webcam, and also on an iPhone 5. It works great on both devices, and the upload feature is awesome. I get a text or an email with a link to a 10 second video showing me what triggered the device. We get a lot of packages stolen in our neighborhood, so this is cool stuff. Great customer support too, prompt and thoughtful.
I have to admit that the fact that they have a free version so we can test it. But it only works for as long as I am in front of my computer. As soon as I go to my Log In Window (Not signing out) because I can NOT leave the computer completly opened (that would defeat the purpose of trying to find out who is touching my stuff.) Everytime I come to check, iSentry has crashed and nothing except for the first minute worked.
My experience: It only starts when it wants to. Click on start, and it maight start and it might not. Also, file folders in Hard Drive or on iPhotos???? Where???? Local folders are not created like it promises so you can’t even find the video or photos you hopefully made if it decided to start.
had to clean slate; then, just to be sure it wasnt something else, installed it again (crash and burn again); this was just my experience; they are a few flavors of hardware and software, so it could be totally fine for you, but the free version was worse than one star for me (so for sure, Im not paying to test their pro version)
iSentry crashes everytime I open it. I would love to try it out and give it a valid review, but cant seem to get that far.
This app does exactly what its supposed to, and thus far Ive had no problems with it. It makes sound when it detects motion which is all I want. Thanks iSentry!
The degree of control is wonderful: can set audible alarms or not, can set it to take photos at defined intervals during a motion event or to shoot video, and can set where and what quality pictures are recorded. Sensitivity is controllable too, of course. Theres a small visual indicator showing when it would be tripped if it were currently recording, to assist in setting the motion threshold. This is very helpful, but is tiny and making the button larger would be much better. The app does crash and act oddly at times; its not Apple-solid. I got a useful sequence of 35 photos, then it shut down. Another time, the entire screen "irised" when taking photos. For free, its worth it. I would glady pay for a more stable version, however; I have come to value my time more highly than a few dollars.
I would give it 5 stars if it could send pictures to my email.
I downloaded this app to monitor activity in my office and set it up to have the videos saved on my Dropbox folder so I can check the videos on the go from my iPhone. It seems to work fine but after the 5th video it just stops recording and saving videos. It only records up to 5 videos an then it stops creating new videos even if it keeps sending alert emails. Lame. Fix this bug and this will be one of my favorite apps.
Saving to DropBox is great. Email notification is great too. Frequent crashes on my 10.7.4 OS Mac Mini but hey, its free. If it didnt crash often I would even pay for it.
I dont think I could of found a simpler app to do this. AND its free! Cant go wrong here although if I find no issues I certainly wouldnt mind paying for it.
