Awesome app… plus its free. Does exactly what it says and so far I havent had any issues with it at all as some have claimed. Very easy to use and set up. But sound is a must for me, and is why Im only giving 4 stars. If you dont need sound, and just a simple yet great webcam motion recorder this is it!

free and i caught someone stealing from me

Ive been having thefts in my office and installed this software to solve the crime. IT WORKED!!! I just turned over a fantastic photo log of the most recent theft to the police. They were amazed and wanted to know about the software so they can start using it too. The software was easy to set up and worked exactily as indicated in the product description. I especially liked the time and date stamp on each photo making it easy to use in a criminal investigation.

Video recording does not work…..love the app before the update but now video doesnt seem to work

Since the new iSentry update, the camera detection does not work. Regardless of the sensitivity level, the alarm does not function despite excessive motion. This was a very valuable app until it ceased to operate. Please rectify this dilemma as soon as possible.

I love the simplicity and the potential. When Pre-motion Recording is selected, the app always records 15 images per second. When Video Recording is selected, no motion is detected…ever. The captured images are saved as a 4x3 aspect ratio while my iMac camera captures at a wider aspect ratio, making the images look squashed horizontally. Fix the obvious bugs and this is easily a 5-star app!

Motion detection and video recording do not work after recent update. Customer support appears to be unavailable. How do you downgrade to the previous version?

I contacted the developer they are going to have the update shortly. It will address the "NO VIDEO" problem. ------------------------------ WORK AROUND - Please READ!!!! ------------------------------- After experimenting….Looks like its a problem with how the app writes the preference file. CLOSE iSENTRY….then DELETE the Preference file- com.codeminders.isentry.plist OPEN iSENTRY and make all your changes EXCEPT for selecting VIDEO...THEN Select VIDEO and it will work for that session ONLY. Dont close the app..the video option will NOT work once you close the app while VIDEO is on. Every time you close the app….you need to select PHOTO and close app and reopen to select VIDEO again.....and then leave it on…you just have to remember to SELECT PHOTO back on before closing the app each time.

Did not work with my webcam application. I know mine works, (i tested it with several other apps, like Google Hangouts and Skype) and it does not work for this. Its free, but i never really got to use it.

Therefore is useless. Uninstalling.

3 things would make this a 5 star app: 1) Video size choices. It only records at 320x180. 2) Let lack-of-motion stop the file recording. Right now, you set a maximum time length, and itll record to that no matter what. 3) Video source input options! It just defaults to my iSight built-in. I want to be able to choose! Otherwise, very basic design that works well. Simple is good!

Yes its working perfect now!

This program works well. It is similar to the "motion" command line software on Linux, but with a graphical interface. I would have given it a 5 if FTP uploading was available.

This app worked great for a couple of days. Now it just works when it wants to for a few minutes then quits unexpectedly, or just doesnt work.

Using this with a logitech C920 limits you to 800x600 which is way lower than what the camera supports. Other than this the application works as advertised, with nice features such as recording to disk or a remote server.

Figgure it out for yourself. No instructions. No help available. No support on website link. Bummer.

Works. Pretty basic, but it works. It would be nice if it could include a picture in the email it sends. That would seem like a simple addition.
